Autism is a complex neurobiological disorder that affects 1 in 150 children, more often boys then girls. There is no cure, but with faith, hope and love for our precious children we can stand strong and help our childrent to recover.

Why we're saving Chase

In June of 2003 Chase was diagnosed with Autism. It has been a long journey trying to "bring him out" we recently have researched and started a plan of new treatments. Our trials, errors, laughs and tears are posted within these pages.

Starting Over....Again

We got Chase's test results back and here is what they say, not a lot of anything. I am really beginning to lose confidence in doctors, but then again what mother with an autistic child hasn't at some point in time. Basically all it really said was his levels are within the normal range so now I have to request more tests. I was advised to request the ELISA which is what I thought I was getting in the beginning but I was wrong, so I will have to start another fight and become the "crazy" mom. My decision in the end? We are going back on the GF/CF diet, everyone is. I called and made Spencer and Calista appointments for referrals to the allergist and we know that Trinity can't have wheat, eggs and casein so we are all going to go on the diet and see what happens. I know it won't hurt it is just going to be hard, but I am the adult in the situation and I should be the strong one not Chase, it is my turn to start winning some battles. I will document things as they go with everyone not just Chase. I am antispating a really bumpy ride but I am strapped in for life.
